What Is Crohns Disease?

Crohns disease is inflammation that affects the ileum mostly but it can affect any other part of the gastrointestinal tract. A characteristic of Crohns disease is cobblestone ulcerations the length of the intestinal wall .

Symptoms Of Crohns Disease:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Painful joints
  • Tiredness and sores on the anal area
  • Diarrhoea

Sometimes the symptoms are severe and debilitating, while for many symptoms remain mild.

Crohns disease can lead to malnutrition as it affects the bowels where the most of the body's nutrients are absorbed.

Treatment

There is no known cure for Chorns disease. However, there are many medications available and natural rememdies that help control the symptoms, enabling many sufferers of the disease to live active lives.
